Geita Gold Football Club

Geita Gold Football Club is a team founded in 2009, known as Geita Veterans under several football leaders and a union of former football players. In 2011, it started the third division league competition (3), known as Geita Veterans. 2012 got a chance to play in the second division league. 2013 The name Geita Gold Veterans changed and the team was called Geita Gold Sports Club and that's when it started competing at the highest levels. After starting to do better in 2016, the team changed its name and was called Geita Gold Football Club.

Geita Gold Football Club is under the Geita Town Council under the Director of the Council and the Council of Councilors of the Geita Town Council. Geita Gold Football Club 2014-2019 the team has played in the first division league at the moment (Championship) and did not succeed in climbing that season but in the 2018/2019 season the team finished in 3rd place and played the "Play Off" to fight for promotion against Mwadui and it was not successful . In the 2019/2020 season, the team finished in 3rd place and played "Play Off" again to qualify for the premier soccer league against Mbeya City and was unsuccessful.

2020/2021 the team managed to get promoted from the first division "Championship" to the main football league Tanzania Mainland "Premier League (TPL). 2021/2022 Geita Gold Footbal Club has officially started to participate in the main football league Tanzania Mainland (TPL) and is doing well for now in the top positions of the main football league in Tanzania. Geita Gold Football Club has established a team of young people under the age of 20 with the aim of developing the talents of players and promoting the awareness of football in Tanzania. Geita Gold currently is sponsored by the General Sponsor Geita mining company "Anglo Gold Ashant Tanzania". Along with other sponsors who come to do business with this club
